Being on the High Street, there is no parking outside the apartment. There is a loading bay squeezed between the traffic lights so heavy bags etc. can be dropped off
There are a number of places to park for free nearby, but to save any anxiety about parking we can guarantee a number of parking places
Firstly we will supply you with a ‘parking clock’ (pre-paid permit), which will allow you free 24 hour parking in the village car park, which is only a stones throw away. (lower section, first few rows are short-stay)
We also have a garage where a couple of cars can be parked off-road. (Although this is not quite so close.) – or even a lorry
Also, the forest car parks at the bottom end of the village are free and most of the minor roads have no parking restrictions.
Electric vehicles
There are 4 charging bays in the car park operated by MER.
(24/7/23 currently they have upgraded two to 30kw tethered fast chargers with two types of socket, the other two are out of order)
Alternatively we have a 7kwh type 2 tethered charger on our drive at the other end of the village (800m away). If pre-arranged, we would be happy for you to leave your car charging overnight. We would only charge you for the electricity at cost.
Bicycles
Bicycles can be stored in the garage shown above, but this would need to be requested in advance for us to ensure there is adequate space. (there is no charge for this)
